Derrick Bibb, DVM
Derrick was born and raised in Abilene, TX. He attended Abilene Christian University for his undergraduate education where he majored in Animal Science and the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine for his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. Following graduation Derrick was an associate veterinarian at the Spur Veterinary Hospital in Spur, TX for two years until a strong north wind blew him south to the Hill Country. His professional interests include equine dentistry, lameness and general equine and food animal medicine. He has received training in medical acupuncture for both large and small animals. He and his wife, Laura, have three boys that keep them very busy and contribute to increasing gray hair: Braddock, Weston and Stratton.

Katty Flint-Merritt
Katty was born and raised in Llano, TX. Her family’s ranch implemented a deep love and respect for all animals early on. She worked for her grandfather’s paint horse breeding operation during her summer vacations and trained her own horse, King, as an all-round competition horse. After graduating high school, Katty pursued her passion of working and caring for animals. Her veterinary medical career is 16 years strong in mixed animal medicine. She and her son Christian live on the family ranch where they both enjoy their love of animals with their herd of horses, goats, dogs, and cats.
Terry Demell
Terry was born and raised in Kiel, Wisconsin. She grew up on a Holstein dairy farm with her six sisters and one brother. Terry developed her love of horses early on in life and has been in the saddle since she could walk. Her love of animals followed her as she got older and she was very active in her local AKC club as she raised, trained, and showed Shetland Sheepdogs. She married her high school sweetheart, Jim, and they have a beautiful daughter Jessica who raises, trains, and races barrel horses. Terry and her family moved to Llano, Texas in April of 2022 for a new chapter in their life. Terry started at Pecan Grove in October of 2022. She was previously a childcare facility assistant administrator and receptionist for 10+ years. In her spare time, she loves camping with her family and their four dogs and joining their daughter on the barrel racing circuit to cheer her on.
Tara Triplett
Tara was born and raised in Durango CO on a working cattle and horse ranch where she learned ranching skills, roping and cattle and horse management. After graduating high school, she went to college on a rodeo scholarship and studied animal science. She moved to Llano 2 years ago where she comes to us with 17 years of veterinary technician experience that includes equine, small animal, exotics and wildlife knowledge. Her interests include roping, fishing, hiking, traveling and kayaking with her 12 year-old Australian Shepherd, Aedan, and 1 year-old Border Collie, Tessa.
