Herd Health – This is of particular importance to sheep and goats due to the common parasite resistance problems we run into in these species. We can help you design a vaccination program that makes sense for your herd and implement a strategic parasite control plan that can help you manage parasitic infections and monitor for the emergence of resistant worms on your property.

Internal Medicine – Sick animals can be detrimental to your entire herd’s health and cause a decreased economic return on your sale of animals in the herd. Many diseases are communicable, and it is best to get any sick animals examined to determine the cause of their illness and if they pose a risk to the rest of the herd. Once a diagnosis is determined or suspected, therapeutic measures can be taken on a herd level or case-by-case basis. Samples for laboratory testing can be collected as needed.

Field Surgery – Specific surgeries are common in sheep and goat management, such as disbudding and dehorning. All surgical procedures in these species are performed on a case-by-case basis by the veterinarian team.

Sick Animal Examination – Evaluation of sick sheep and goats can be performed to determine the cause of illness, therapeutic options and risks presented to the rest of the herd.
